Our own home cured smoked salmon is smoked slowly over oak chips to produce a rich and complex flavour which is a far cry from those slimy slices you’ll find in the supermarket. Salmon is gorgeous when smoked due to its high fat content being able to take on all those lovely complex flavours from the oak chips. Hand smoked to our own cure, in our very own kilns, each salmon side is hand checked for quality before being sliced in a variety of ways to suit your needs. When you try it, it’s easy to see why it’s won multiple Taste the West and Great Taste awards!

Aroma:
A very fresh aroma, natural smokiness. Everything we were hoping for.
Appearance:
A beautiful, vibrant, rich colour. Looks incredibly fresh. Beautifully presented in thin, even ‘D’ shaped slices. Great attention to detail. Content lives up to its packaging.
Texture/Mouthfeel/Finish/Length
Silky texture, melts in the mouth. Quite a firm texture, not chewy at all and not too hard. Doesn’t fall to pieces. Cuts beautifully. Faultless.
Taste
This is truly delicious – there’s a delicate, natural smokiness to it, not too overpowering – just the right level of smoke. Deep, rich and indulgent flavour. The inner layers of each slice have a more subtle smoky flavour, the outer layers are incredibly rich and full of flavour. Can’t fault it in any way. A simple product that has been carefully cured and smoked to perfection.
