A fatty fish, salmon is wonderful baked, fried, barbecued, flaked into a quiche, used in fishcakes or even raw as sashimi if sushi grade salmon is sourced.
Salmon really does not need much of an introduction: they’re a staple fish in so many households not only due to their versatility but also because they boast some amazing health benefits such as being very high in omega 3 fatty acid, which is essential for brain development and cognitive function.
Their firm pink flesh and delicate flavour take on other flavours well too – Asian inspired salmon recipes with lots of chilli, star anise and ginger work really well with salmon.
