Hand smoked over oak in our own kilns to a home cure, each of our smoked mackerel fillets are individually checked by hand for quality before being packaged and sent off to our customers. Mackerel is incredible when smoked due to its high fat content – the fat in the mackerel naturally retains all of the gorgeous complex smoky flavours that our oak chips impart. It’s such a treat for a picnic, or flaked into green salads, and it’s good for you too due to all those hearty omega 3s.
Smoked Mackerel is best eaten straight away, or within 3 days.
