Skate with Capers and Dill sauce

A delicious, classic recipe for cooking flat fish.

Instructions

Bring a pan of water to boil. Add the potatoes to cook until tender. Add the vegetables when the potatoes are almost cooked.

Heat the olive oil in a pan until hot. Add the skate wings and fry until golden brown. Allow 3-5 minutes on each side. Set them aside when cooked.

Melt a generous piece of butter to a pan, add the garlic and saute until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add the white wine and deglaze the pan.

Add the capers, lemon juice and chopped dill to the sauce and remove from the heat.

Pour the butter sauce over the skate and serve with the cooked green vegetables and potatoes.

  • 1/2 tablespoon oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup of white wine
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • Butter
  • Olive oil
  • 1 lemon zest and juice
  • 2 tablespoons dill (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon of white wine
  • Potatoes and green vegetables
