Prawn & Prosciutto Delights

Juicy prawns wrapped in thin, savory prosciutto and baked to perfection. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, these bites are a perfect blend of flavor and elegance.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices prosciutto (or streaky bacon rashers)
  • 8 large raw prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Paprika, to dust

Method

  1. Slice the prosciutto lengthways into fine ribbons. Wrap each prawn tightly with a strip and secure with a cocktail stick.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the wrapped prawns and cook for about 1 minute per side, until the prosciutto is crisp and the prawns are pink and opaque. If using bacon, cook slightly longer to ensure it crisps up.
  3. Remove the cocktail sticks. Dust one end of each prawn lightly with paprika (if using). Serve hot as a starter or canapé.
