Ingredients
- 2 slices prosciutto (or streaky bacon rashers)
- 8 large raw prawns, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Paprika, to dust
Method
- Slice the prosciutto lengthways into fine ribbons. Wrap each prawn tightly with a strip and secure with a cocktail stick.
- Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the wrapped prawns and cook for about 1 minute per side, until the prosciutto is crisp and the prawns are pink and opaque. If using bacon, cook slightly longer to ensure it crisps up.
- Remove the cocktail sticks. Dust one end of each prawn lightly with paprika (if using). Serve hot as a starter or canapé.
