The Cornish Fishmonger named South West's Best Online Retailer

We are pleased to share that The Cornish Fishmonger has been named the "Best Online Retailer" in this year's Taste of the West Awards.

Organised by Taste of the West, the largest independent regional food group in the UK; the awards promote and support the very best local food and drink from Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire.

Earlier this year we were awarded four gold awards for our smoked seafood, as well as a gold award for online retailer. Scoring very highly in the online retailer award put us through to the final "Champion award" alongside four other businesses from across the region.

Jack Wing and Matt Bunt from The Cornish Fishmonger team attended the awards ceremony in Exeter which featured a delicious meal using produce from winners - including our gold-award winning Smoked Mussels. The event was presented by BBC Television presenter Victoria Graham who presented the award on-stage to Jack.

Feedback from the independent and anonymous judging earlier this year complimented our user experience, calling it "brilliant, backed up by fantastic produce".

The judges added: "The fish we purchased, was outstanding. Beautiful, fresh Mackerel, Salmon, Sardines and Trout. Expertly filleted and sealed for freshness. Some of the best fish we have had.

"Highly recommended and we will become customers in the future along with recommendation to our contacts. Brilliant packaging and delivery as well. Well done The Cornish Fishmonger, what a professional service."

Jack Wing, The Cornish Fishmonger said: "To be recognised in this way is a great honour.

"The South West is renowned for it's wide range of excellent quality food and drink producers and purveyors. To be recognised as the best online retailer is a great honour for our family business, which promotes the exceptional quality seafood landed by dedicated crews here in Cornwall.

"Many congratulations to our fellow winners and finalists and thank you to our team for their ongoing support."
