Jack Wing Honoured as an Industry Champion at the 'Fish in School Hero Awards'
On Friday, 20th June, the historic Fishmongers’ Hall welcomed educators and seafood industry leaders from across the country for the Fish in School Hero Teacher Awards and Conference. This inspiring event marked six years of impactful seafood education, training over 1,000 teachers and reaching more than 170,000 pupils nationwide.
At the heart of the celebration was the Fish in School Hero programme’s core mission: to ensure every child has the chance to cook, eat, and enjoy seafood before they leave school.
We’re incredibly proud to share that our very own Jack Wing was among those recognised on the day, receiving an Industry Champion Award for his, and the team at Wing of St Mawes outstanding contribution to the programme.
This award is a wonderful acknowledgement of the dedication, teamwork, and shared passion that Jack and the entire team bring to food education. It’s a collective achievement that reflects the hard work and collaboration behind the scenes, and we’re all proud to play a part in something making such a positive impact on young people across the UK.
Here’s to a future where every young person discovers the joy of cooking, the value of sustainability, and the incredible story behind UK caught seafood.
