Winners! Again...
We’re thrilled to share some brilliant news: our Smoked Salmon has been awarded Gold, and our Cornish Smoked Fish Pie (pack of 2) has taken Silver at this year’s Taste of the West Awards.
For more than 30 years, Taste of the West has championed the very best food and drink from across the South West. Each year around 350 producers put their products in front of panels of independent industry experts, so recognition here means a great deal to us. It’s a proud moment for our whole team, and a real nod to the care that goes into everything we smoke, slice and bake here in Cornwall.
Gold: Our Smoked Salmon
Our smoked salmon is cured to our own family recipe, then slowly smoked over natural oak chippings in our Cornish smokehouse, with the salty sea air never far away. The result is a delicate, gently smoky flavour and a silky, melt-in-the-mouth texture.
We hand-slice it into our signature ‘D’-shaped slices, so every piece carries both the subtle inner layers and the richer outer edge. It’s just as at home on blinis with cream cheese and chives as it is at a lazy Sunday brunch, and it comes in gift-ready packaging, which makes it a perfect present with Christmas just around the corner. You may have noticed the 're-brand' The Cornish Smoke Co - same great flavour, we've just given the packaging a little lift!

Silver: Cornish Smoked Fish Pie
Part of our Coastal Kitchen range, this pie is all about hearty, coastal comfort. We smoke haddock and cod over oak in our own kilns, then fold the tender flakes through a smooth, creamy sauce with potatoes, leeks, dill and a hint of English mustard. It’s all sealed in a golden pastry case that bakes up crisp and flaky.
Each pack contains two individual pies, delivered frozen and ready to go straight into the oven: around 50 minutes and you’ve got a proper seaside supper with no effort at all.
