Cornish Sole (Megrim) 400 - 450g
Cornish Sole (also known as Megrim) is a deep water flatfish commonly caught off the Cornish coast, and is gaining popularity due to its sustainability.
There’s good reason to choose Cornish sole beyond it being environmentally friendly too – this flatfish makes for some lovely eating when cooked properly.
Serve on the bone in a rich olive and tomato sauce (add capers at your discretion) or poach in milk and flake into mashed potatoes along with fresh parsley and lemon zest for some simple fishcakes.
Source of low fat, lean protein
Fresh from the coastal waters off Land’s End and the Isles of Scilly, we source all our Cornish sole from the markets at Newlyn
Available all year round
Great in fishcakes, or served slow roasted on the bone
Please note that due to market conditions, sometimes dictated by the weather on rare occasions we may have to send you frozen fish, which could arrive partially-defrosted.
