This box will include 20 portions of fresh fish fillets and shellfish, being a selection of the best of the landings from the mornings markets. The variety you receive will be dictated by what has been landed by local fishing boats, its quality and abundance. For your convenience, all the seafood will arrive fully prepared ready for you to eat or freeze. Ideally we would hope to include: 1 dozen cleaned king scallops, 1kg mussels, oily fish fillets & white fish fillets (160/180gm portions), flat fish fillets (150/170gm portions)and skinned ray wings (200/220gm portions). Please note, contents may vary from those displayed. This box will have wild Cornish fish and may include locally farmed Rainbow Trout from North Cornwall. If local mussels are in their spawning season we may include mussels from the river Exe in Devon. Please note the image shown is for display purposes only. The contents of this box will vary, subject to seasonality and availability. We are unbale to exclude species upon request. Ideally, we would hope to include: 2 dozen cleaned king scallops, 2kg mussels, oily fish fillets & white fish fillets (160/180gm portions), flatfish fillets (150/170gm portions) and skinned ray wings (200/220gm portions). We recommend that live shellfish are eaten within two days. This box contains wild Cornish fish, but on occasion may include locally farmed Rainbow Trout from North Cornwall. The images shown are for display purposes only and your box may contain different fish. Unfortunately we are unbale to exclude any species that may be included.
Fresh fish is best eaten straight away, or within 3 days. Store in your refridgerator and pack with ice if possible. To freeze; place the fish straight in the freezer upon delivery and aim to consume within 3 months. Remember that oily fish does not freeze as well as white fish - so be sure to consume within 2 months. Shellfish does not freeze well, so store in the salad drawer of your refridgerator and cover with a damp teatowel. Do not immerse shellfish in water. TIP: Write the date on the packaging before freezing. Do not re-freeze your fish after defrosting.
