Crabmeat macaroni cheese
  • 2 dressed crabs
    250g pasta (preferably macaroni)
    1 onion (sliced)
    400ml milk
    2 tablespoons plain flour
    50g butter
    250g brie
    Salt and dry parsley
    Bread crumbs (optional)
  1. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  2. Put the crab meat into a bowl and the empty crab shell on a baking tray.
  3. Cook and drain the pasta according to the package directions.
  4. While the pasta is cooking, fry the chopped onion with butter. Cook until soft and brown, then add the flour and stir vigorously.
  5. Then, add the milk and season with salt and parsley.
  6. Add the 2/3 of the cheese to the mixture; stir until melted.
  7. Add the cheese sauce to the cooked pasta, then the crab meat. Stir and mix.
  8. Place the pasta mixture onto the crab shells or baking dish. You can add some grated cheese or breadcrumbs for a crispy topping.
  9. Bake in the oven until the topping turns a lovely golden brown.
