Not a poor relation of cod
Kirstie, Innerleithen - Coley gets looked down as inferior to cod, but when I do dishes with fillets of both served at the same time the coley isn't outshone. It has a slightly softer texture and is less white, but tastes just as good. It has the added advantage that it's not as threatened as cod by over-fishing.
