Most of us have seen this green skinned fish with its bright orange spots. Underneath lies a delicate lemon scented flesh. This fish will arrive to you gutted ready to cook.
All of our Cornish ports land plaice regularly; Looe is renowned for its dayboats and flat fish quality.
We suggest leaving plaice off your fish menu during the months of March and April. Make sure to buy them in early autum when they are at their absolute best.
Plaice will bake. Try roasting in a hot oven, serve with brown butter and the juice of a lime or lemon.
Our fish is landed daily and comes in all different sizes - just as nature intended! Our prices are given in 'weight per kilo' and where possible we are able to offer a price per portion. We will do our best to get your order as close to the kilo weight as possible and always within a 20% variant to the size you choose.
